1. Could you start by telling us a little about yourself? How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
I was born and raised in Venezuela and moved to Spain 5 years ago looking for a change in my life, after that I had the chance to work and study in the United Kingdom and Poland. Finally, after obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Economics, I decided to pursue a master’s degree in advanced analytics and big data while developing my skills at MaskZ of Sweden. 3 words that can describe myself are “fearless to challenges”
2. What lead you to Maskz of Sweden and what motivated you to be a part of our team?
Basically, the fact that the company has managed to have an important growth in the last months. Also, the fact that our CEO gave me the chance to collaborate and be involved in many important tasks from the very beginning of this journey. My main goal was to contribute as much as I can in all processes such as building new relationships and increasing web engagement with our customers, as well as creating predictive models that could help us to make business-related decisions.
3. You join us through Erasmus Program, what were your main responsibilities?
I have been involved in many projects, at the beginning of my internship I was involved in a very ambitious business development project, and our goal was to increase sales, profit, and derive cost-effective solutions by building new partnerships with leading European companies while expanding to other markets. For over the past 2 months I have been working mostly on helping to build a brand image through content creation on our website blog with the aim to increase website traffic and sales.
4. What were the most memorable and exciting projects that you were involved in?
My most memorable and exciting project was the last one I worked in. I have been creating predictive models by using econometric techniques and machine learning algorithms. I’ve been learning this for years and I was so happy to finally have the opportunity to put all my knowledge into practise.
5. How do you deal with challenges?
I love challenges, although sometimes it is necessary to put our feet on the ground and realise how far we can go. On my last project, I thought that I couldn't develop and build such predictive models while working in marketing production due to time constraints, but I successfully managed to get everything done on time by putting 1000% of myself into this.
6. What’s your biggest take-away from working in Maskz of Sweden?
The experience to work in a multidisciplinary environment with an international team, as well as the opportunity to be involved in many projects.

8. 2020 has been revolutionary in terms of how everything was digitized, how do you see business in this industry changing in the coming years?
Although many businesses have gone bankrupt, the emergence of new companies such as MaskZ of Sweden has come into a reality in the past months. Still, this industry faces a lot of difficulties such as an abundance of uncertified products in the market, arise of many small business with zero expertise in the industry, transportation-logistics issues, and quality of products. People around the world have realised the importance of having good quality products and they have preferred MaskZ of Sweden products over those uncertified in the market as we have a strong compromise to deliver to our customer quality, protection, and style.
That being said, slowly the market will balance by offering more certified products, ensuring the quality and safeness of customers. There are recent studies suggesting that many workers will be displaced to the logistics sector which is in need of extra workers due to the increase in demand. Hopefully, many issues that this industry is facing will be corrected soon.
